What is better than free music? GOOD free music, of course! And we are hooking you up with just that! One of our favorite musicians, Mr Fogg, is letting you download his new single "Stay Out Of The Sun" for free right now over on his official page. So we suggest you go there right now and pick up this epic new track!
Hello readers and Happy 2012! We wanted to introduce you to a NY based trio, The July Edition, whom we think you're really going to like! They just released their new EP, Top Shelf, which is available as a free download on their site. They have somehow managed to bring to mind 2 of our favorite bands, are you ready for this... The Lonely Island and Busted- and it works! Ther EP is fun and different and we think you're going to want to have them on your iPod, but girls- be warned: they're on to us as they let us know on their catchy stand-out track "Girls Don't Want The Love" x
Last week I caught up with Stars Go Dim to chat about their up-coming release and their show this week in Akron. Check out the interview by clicking below. READ HERE.
All of us here at FRFz are HUGE fans of Doctor Who, so I just couldn't resist posting this countdown. As if I weren't already counting down the minutes...
We recently sat down to chat with hot new British band Twenty Twenty when they were in Cardiff opening for The Wanted. The lads were lovely to chat with and we are hoping that this is their year to really make their mark with their catchy single "Love To Life" and debut mini-album "Small Talk"
It's only just March but I've already found my summer soundtrack. Dion Roy's newest release (out on itunes 3/31) has me wanting to turn my stereo up, roll my windows down and head out on a warm weather road-trip. We caught one of Dion's gigs this past winter when he opened for Ryan Cabrera and we have a feeling that Dion's stage presence combined with his winning personality and this new album will soon have the tables turned with Dion headlining bigger gigs and becoming a staple on your summer mixes. Be sure to grab your copy of Welcome Home when it drops next week, and keep an eye out for this talent as we are sure you'll be hearing much for from him.
If you're in the NYC area don't miss the CD Release show on April 2 at Dominion.
Last fall I was introduced to Garrett McArthur through some mutual friends and it was mentioned that he was in a band, so being intrigued I just had to check out their live set when they came through Akron. The band is NEEDMORE, and in the 4 years since they formed they have acquired a large fanbase, landed major song placements and have had millions of plays of their tracks via their Myspace and Facebook accounts. While all this is impressive, I decided to not make my opinion of the band until after their set wrapped, and let me tell you, they lived up to the hype.
The band played a full set which included their single “Lost My Way” and an hours worth of original material as well as covers of The Far East Movements “Rocketeer” and John Mayer’s “I Don’t Trust Myself (With Loving You)” which I’m sure left more than a few girls in the audience swooning. The energy of the show never faltered from start to finish- which is quite impressive considering the drummer, T.J., was a bit under the weather. While I’ve heard a time or two before that bassists do it on a low frequency, NEEDMORE’s Jonathan Beverage also managed to tickle the ivories and sing back up vocals all while keeping the bottom register humming.
I had intended to wrap this review with an awful pun, but I feel that the guys have heard more than their fare share from writers and fans alike; so let me just say that if you get the chance to see NEEDMORE that you won’t be disappointed, and I can say that I will definitely be crossing my fingers for another show in Akron soon.
So, I'm really trying my hand at semi-frequently posting blogs over at TOL and it's slow going, but at least I'm trying. It's my resolution to post weekly, I'm already slacking- but its more than I did in 2010 and I need to keep reminding myself, its for a good cause! So, check out my TOL blog and check out the absurd musings of my mind that I have thus far kept from the readers of FRFz! x
Some of you may recognize Little Comets from when we gave a few tracks of theirs away in the summer of 2008, and now they are releasing their debut album In Search Of Elusive Little Comets on January 31. Needless to say, I was quite excited about this release and when I got my review copy last week it lived up to all of my expectations, and then some. It’s an album that you can listen to from start to finish, and then from start to finish again. In Search Of Elusive Little Comets offers a sound all unto its own, and we are predicting big things from this band this year. Can’t wait until January 31 to get you hands on their new material? Head over to their Facebook and you can stream the album in full.
I can't believe another year is upon us! This year is already shaping up to be very exciting, with bigger interviews and features, more coverage of cd releases, live events and film festivals, and our new group of interns! Big announcements to come within the next few weeks! x
Tomorrow night, Dec 9, Chris Trousdale will be on Disney Channel's hit new show Shake It Up as the a singer, Justin Starr. Be sure to tune in and check him out! Be sure to follow him there and on facebook at www.facebook.com/OfficialCRT x
Wow, what a busy fall we have had here at FRFz! So much has been gonig on that we haven't had time to update you on some of our recent changes! Most notably is that our wonderful new music intern, Rebecca, has finished her internship with us and has moved on to some new and exciting ventures. We loved having her as part of the FRFz family, and you may see some one off articles from her, and we are wishing her all the best. With that being said, we will be looking for 2-3 new interns to fill Rebecca's shoes! So if you are interested shoot me an e-mail to amanda@frontrowfanz.com and I'll let you know what we are looking for! Stay tunes for an amazing interview with my favorite entrepreneur, Blake Mycoskie, founder and cheif shoe-giver of TOMS Shoes! I, along with my friends Sarah and Yvette from ak2ny.com and Ztv, we able to chat with him real quick last night, and he was so kind and inspiring. I am sure you will love this interview as much as I loved be able to do it! x

Heads up for tomorrow 9/21:
The fabulous Shontelle releases her sophomore album "No Gravity". "It's going to take you higher, you're going to float off your feet. It's just a lot of fun and emition," Shontelle reveals to FRFz. Definitely be sure to pick it up!
Selena Gomez's "A Year Without Rain" will also make its debut in stores tomorrow. We don't know too much about it but after the success of her single, "Naturally", we're sure it will be worth a listen.
Yesterday evening texts started rolling in from friends across the country wondering about some information floating around Twitter. It was with a heavy heart that Yvette and I shared the news of Rich Cronin’s [LFO] passing with our friends. When Brad confirmed the information we were greatly saddened as this is a great loss for music and for so many people. We were lucky enough to have known Rich over the years, and our deepest condolences go out to Rich's friends, family and fans.
To kick off this week, FRFz is bringing you exclusive interviews with the guys of Allstar Weekend and the fabulous Shontelle! We got to catch up with them at the Arthur Ashe Kids Day event in Flushing, NY last weekend and had a ton of fun. Aside from chatting with Allstar and Shontelle, we got to be up close and personal with David Archuleta, watch the JoBros work the red carpet, and hear Demi Lovato warm-up before her performance! Be sure to check out both interviews!
This week we're listening to a soundtrack from a movie that will make you laugh, cry, and expand your iTunes library. Head over to the media page to see which one!
If you weren't able to attend Warped Tour this year, don't worry, we're bringing Warped to you! Not only do we have tons of exclusive interviews coming soon, but I've put together a playlist of songs that will make you feel like you are there. Head over to the media page to check it out!
Wow, this past week was FULL of Warped excitement for FRFz! Last Wednesday I checked out the tour while it was in Pittsburgh, PA and did more interviews in one afternoon than I can remember, and on Sunday Rebecca was at the show in Hartford, CT and interviewed another lot of bands. We are both busy at work editing everything, and our lovely web designer is hard at werk to make a great new page for FRFz Warped 2010 coverage! Be sure to stay tuned for some truely unique features in the next week, including interviews, videos, reviews and interviews!! x

Ok, if you know me at all then you know that I love The Discovery Channel. It's just a fact. I will proudly schedule my plans around special programming [like SHARK WEEK! Does it get much better?] and I'm not embarrassed to admit that fact! So, it goes with out saying that I am very excited for next week as The Discovery Channel has a week of special programming celebrating 25 awesome years!
Here are the specials that I won't be missing:
25 Years of Discovery (Sunday, June 13, 9PM)-- In this anniversary special narrated by Mike Rowe, famous faces and fans alike will call out their favorite Discovery moments. We'll also revisit the most extraordinary things we've ever seen on the network.
Mike Rowe IS The Voice of Discovery, so it makes complete sence to have him narrate this special, I know I am excited to relive some of my favorite moments.
Dirty Jobs: The Dirty Truth (Monday, June 14, 9PM) -- In a world full of sentimental platitudes like "Teamwork is the Answer," Mike Rowe serves up an alternative to worn out clichés with six hard-earned lessons gleaned from his 250+ DIRTY JOBS. Mike also presents a new roster of role models: 25 regular people who discovered long ago that the road to job security is not always paved with conventional wisdom.
Can Mike Rowe do any wrong? I dont think so, I have a feeling this will be my favorite of the specials in the coming week.
MythBusters Top 25 Moments (Wednesday, June 16, 9PM) -- In this two-hour episode, Adam, Jamie, Grant, Kari and Tory reveal their top 25 most memorable myths and moments from the series. They have a lot to choose from - over the past eight years, they've produced 191 episodes featuring 738 myths and 2,326 experiments. The team explains what makes each of these "best" myths so special, providing an insider's view into what it's like to be a MythBuster.
Mythbusters is not only educational its also SO entertaining, I know many of my Wednesday evenings are spent watching this show!
Man Vs. Wild: Top 25 Moments (Saturday, June 19, 9PM) -- Adventurer Bear Grylls reveals his top 25 favorite MAN VS WILD moments, which include disgusting, fearful, and exhilarating clips from each of the series past four seasons.
How can one NOT love this show? I hope to never need to use the skills Bear teaches, but I know that I pay close attention to each episode just in case!
While there will be other specials during the week those are just the ones I am most looking forward to, but I can assure you I will be tuned in all week! And I appologize for putting this on the news page and not the media page, but I am just so excited about it I wanted to make sure that all of our great readers saw the news!
I hope you are all as excited as I am about the next 25 years of Discovery, and that you go out and make your very own! x
...and I am sorry because the mumps have taken hold again! Fear not i am cooking up pieces on fashion around the world! I'll be taking a look at global fashions from the USA east to Japan for an insight into personal trends!

Here is a very simple way to help those in Nashville who have been affedted by the flooding; simply follow @NashvillePR on Twitter and they will donate $1 for every new follower up to 500 new followers. It's that simple, just follow and they donate.
Below is the press release:
Nashville Publicity Group Announces Flood Relief Fundraising Effort
(NASHVILLE, Tennessee) – Nashville Publicity Group announced today that they will donate $1 to Conduit Mission’s Nashville flood relief efforts for each new Twitter follower up to 500 new followers. Visit Nashville Publicity Group's Twitter page at http://www.twitter.com/nashvillePR (@nashvillePR).
“My hope is that other small businesses will join us by launching similar fundraising efforts for those affected by the floods in Nashville and surrounding communities,” says Nashville Publicity Group’s Brian Mayes. “Conduit Mission has had multiple teams of volunteers out there every day, looking for those that need assistance. 100% of the funds raised go directly to flood relief efforts, and directly to those in need.”
Conduit Mission, a Christian non-profit organization in Franklin, Tennessee, had teams on the ground throughout the Nashville area immediately after the flood, and they remain in the field assisting those affected by the devastation.
"We've had so many opportunities to love the world around us and this provided us the opportunity to love the community in front of us,” says Conduit Mission founder Darren Tyler. “The devastation is massive and calls for a continuing effort on our behalf long into the future.”
Personal donations to flood relief efforts can be made online at http://www.conduitmission.org/donate/. All donations are tax deductible.
It’s that time of the week again! This week’s Music Monday brings you behind the music, featuring one of today’s hottest hit makers. Check out the media section to read more..
Wow. I know there are some mixed feelings about Ke$ha, the newest diva to the pop scene, but I am totally loving 3OH!3's newest single, My First Kiss (ft. Ke$ha). Listen at 3OH!3's website or check it out on iTunes!
This past Feb. I partnered with Yvette Cherkala to create YA Obsessed Productions as an umbrella company for FRFz and her video work, and through this new partnership we are now able to bring you exciting new media. To kick things off we are excited to invite you to watch YA Obsessed & FRFz interview with Sleeperstar. They are a great band from Texas who are sure to be making a splash very soon. Ok, so it's no secret that we here at FRFz are all big Hanson fans, so bear with me as I get a little more than excited over their new music video for their song, Thinking 'Bout Somethin' Watch the video, it's great, and you will be able to have a new point of reference for this great band aside from MMMBop [which is a great song, but years have passed and their sound has changed...]
Phil Joel has made his track "Carried Me Home" from the album "The New Normal" available as a free download. So be sure to head over to his site and pick up your copy of this great track.
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend and a great Easter! xx
