On: The One Love

We at FRFz have always been keen to support a great cause, so we are excited for you to learn all about The One Love though this interview with Ben Romans of both TOL and The Click Five.

FRFz: Please introduce yourself and elaborate a little bit on what exactly The One Love is and how it came about.
Ben:My name is Ben Romans. I write songs, play keys and sing backing vocals for The Click Five.
The One Love is a site designed to give bloggers an opportunity to blog about their passions in music and music industry... whether it's songwriting/producing/marketing/or being a fan. Each blogger also picks the charity of their choice, which is supported anytime someone clicks to read their blog.

FRFz:Tell us a bit about the other bloggers on the site and how you got them on board.
Ben:I love the minds of all the bloggers on our site. Everyone has so much to say... they're friends, friends of friends, and so forth and so on.

FRFz:Aside from donating money to charity is there any other intention or goal for the website to accomplish?
Ben:Yes. I love the idea of community. When someone might be a fan of one band on the site, they may discover another artist... it's a way to promote as well.

FRFz:As of right now the bloggers all seem to be in the music industry, do you have any hopes of adding any other type of bloggers? If not, why do you think music is so crucial for this particular site?
Ben:It's possible, but right now, the reason that music is so crucial, because I think our bloggers need a chance to really specify why they love to create, perform, produce, or whatever it is that they do. There is a lot of underlying passion in this industry.

FRFz:Any bloggers that you forsee or hope to see on the site in the near future?
Ben:A great band from Boston, Damone, is about to be on board... and hopefully The Crash Moderns soon. There are a lot of candidates right now. We'll see how it goes as we roll this thing out.

FRFz:What are your hopes for the future of The One Love?
Ben:I would love to have a great community, get fans involved with the charities, and start having some awesome events... let's rock!

FRFz:Is there anything we haven't covered that you would like to mention?
Ben:Jade and Cassie make so many things possible for this idea, so a huge thanks to them... and an INCREDIBLE thanks to the bloggers for sharing the love with us, and to the AWESOME fans for checking it out and getting involved.

FRFz:What would you like to say to those who will be reading this?
