Bob Guiney has seen the many sides of fame. Featured on The Bachelorette and The Bachelor, reality show viewers caught their first glimpse of Bob Guiney and fell in love with his sincerity and comical antics. Most critics were sceptical of Bob's fame and figured it would only last fifteen minutes. After the shows aired, Bob went back to his roots and began singing again as a solo artist. Currently signed to Wind-Up Records, Bob Guniey and his band mates began recording, writing, and producing his debut solo album, which was released on November 25, 2003. Starting 2004 off with style, Bob is currently on a U.S. tour promoting his album and proving that his fame is not yet over!

Front Row Fanz: First, can you start off by introducing yourself?

Bob Guiney: Well, my name is Bob Guniey, and I am currently on the road in support of my album "3 Sides". I have been very busy with that.

Front Row Fanz: Tell me about your album.

Bob: The album is called "3 Sides" and we're signed under Wind-Up Records. My guitarist, Andy Patalan, produced a lot of the songs. Of the ten songs on the album, my two guitarists and I wrote 8 of the songs. The other two, I helped collaborate on. I think it's a really good album, and so far people really like it. I'm proud of it.

Front Row Fanz: What is your favorite song off the album?

Bob: "Bleed On" and "Temporary Life". Those are my two favorite tracks off the album. I wrote "Temporary Life" with Andy. I am very proud of both of these songs. I love them because they are good musically and have great stories.

Front Row Fanz: What is the meaning behind "Temporary Life"?

Bob: It's about being in a relationship and giving everything you've got, but it just doesn't work out. It is actually more general than people think.

Front Row Fanz: In your song "Girlfriend", you sing "Room 421 in a Cleveland hotel..." How do you think fans at your Cleveland concert will react to that line?

Bob: I think people will be really excited about it. It will be interesting, no doubt. The cool thing about Cleveland is that we are performing at Borders the night before the club show and the original writer of "Girlfriend" will be performing with me!

Front Row Fanz: How would you describe your current fan base?

Bob: Well, there is broad range in age-young and old. Some fans are there because I was on the Bachelor, and I hope they are open minded enough to come and listen. But really, it doesn't matter to me what it takes to get someone out to the show. As long as they are there, I hope they listen and are appreciative of the music. See, there is this huge misconception that I came off the television show, and I thought I should sing. The reality though is that I have been singing forever.

Front Row Fanz: You are currently touring. What can fans expect from your show?

Bob: We are just a rock band with some cool, catchy music. People will notice the great comradery my band mates and I have on stage. We try to make each show the best that we can. We aren't into all the pyro... we're just about the music.

Front Row Fanz: Is there a major difference between your Borders shows and your club shows?

Bob: At the book store, we perform for all ages; whereas the club is more of a rock show. We'll just be having fun and rocking out, hoping that people feel the music and enjoy the moment.

Front Row Fanz: How has the fan reaction been so far on the tour?

Bob: It has been incredible! I have been blown away by it actually. A lot of people come up to me after the shows and buy our CD because they were so impressed. And there are others who already had the CD and they are singing the lyrics. It's crazy!

Front Row Fanz: How has fame treated you?

Bob: It is a double-edged sword. I am glad that I have all these opportunities, but at the same time, there are the critics, who expect me to walk out on stage and suck. But, I think people realize that we do write good songs and sound great.

Front Row Fanz: Do you have any plans after your tour finishes?

Bob: *laughs* Actually, I don't even know when the tour ends. People keep calling us up and adding dates to the schedule. But, I really hope to just keep promoting the music and hopefully make another album.
