This friendly faced teenager balances his time between acting and singing. He stared in the Disney channel series "Even Stevens" and in early 2003 he had a leading role in the made for TV-movie "You Wish!". AJ also spends his time with his band Mavin in which he plays bass and writes a number of the band's songs.

-First, can you introduce yourself to us and tell us a little about yourself.
My name is AJ. I'm a 16 yr old actor/musician.

-How did you get into acting?
My first acting experience was in an after school program in 4th grade. I enrolled in acting school when I was 11, and after six months, I had an agent and moved to LA with my mom.

-Tell us about your experience on "Even Stevens".
That's a very broad question. the experience was great. we had a really good cast and crew and it was fun going to work on a brand new show. I was happy to be a part of it all.

-Do you prefer acting on TV or playing with your band?
Neither, I like both.

-Do you write your own songs for your band? If so, where do you find the inspiration to write them?
Most of the material is written by my brothers and I and inspiration comes from all kinds of places. i keep a notebook to write down words or ideas as they come to me. then, when i need material for a new song, i open the book. other times, a song just writes itself in a matter of minutes.

-What is your fondest memory of your acting/singing career so far?
Playing at the whisky a go go.

-What would you like to say to your friends/fans reading?
hold on, mamma. let's do waffles.
